Ruby stayed over with her Grandpa and Gran in Leeds for the first time this week (it is half term at her school) and I arranged to pick her up again at the rather splendid Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I have driven past here on the M1 many a time but never managed to venture in, so I thought it was about time to see what it is about.
It is an outstandingly beautiful place with some utterly lovely sculptures. I took a few pictures while I was there:
Ruby loved it. It’s encouraging that she enjoys running around in the countryside and that she also seems to like art, especially the Henry Moore sculptures that abound here.
We will be back soon, with wellies.
The weather has been somewhat bracing of late, but that means nothing to our energetic daughter who loves running around and not wearing her gloves.
We spent a very enjoyable hour or so at Bramcote Park yesterday. Lots of space for little legs to exercise, and loads of lovely fresh air. There’s even a very nice play park, and an occasional visit from some guy selling coffee (missing on this visit, sadly).
I’ve somehow managed to reach 200 photos in my 365 project on Flickr. I’ve stopped posting them all on here (not enough minutes in the day to do that) but I’ve been keeping it going.
Let’s see if I can make it all the way to the 31st December this time
